Google Counter

I have this little gadget on my iGoogle page called a counter. It is pretty cool because you enter in the date to something you are looking forward to and it actually counts the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until that event. Well, of course I have programmed in my trip. Today as I logged onto my account I was blown away when it showed me we had 10 more days until we leave. I was almost feeling paniked in a way. I am anxious, excited, nervous, and happy all rolled up into one. There an array of emotions that go into taking a trip. I am relishing in each and every one...

"The best remedy
for those who are
afraid, lonely or
unhappy is to go
outside,
somewhere where
they can be quiet,
alone with the
heavens, nature
and God. Because
only then does one
feel that all is as it
should be and that
God wishes to see
people happy,
amidst the simple
beauty of nature."

Planning

Pretty soon we will be taking an amazing trip with good friends. I have been planning to create a blog to record daily thoughts on the trip for friends and family but tonight I couldn't wait to get going on it. We are in the final planning stages of or trip and I thought I would go ahead and start writing here to help pass the time. This is a trip of a lifetime for Kenny and I. Approaching soon is our 15 year wedding anniversary. This trip is long overdue considering our honeymoon wasn't much to talk about...that is okay because at the time believe me, we didn't care. We were defiantely ready to begin our life together and the rest didn't matter so much. However, we are really excited to take a trip like this. Most of you know where we are going but in case you don't we are going to Yellowstone. Well, it is even more then that. We are staying in the Grand Tetons in a gorgeous townhome and we will be very close to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We will also take advantage of the drive there by staying overnight in Santa Fe. We are so blessed that God has provided the means in which to take this trip...which is so much more then just a vacation. It will be a renewal, a much needed break and reconnection to one another, memories with close friends, and time spent with our Father as we soak in His awesome creation. Join us as we journey from Paris...
